What do you most look forward to in your new role as Director of Children’s Christian Education at St. Joseph First UMC?  I look forward to helping our children discover their faith in fun and creative ways.

What is your favorite Bible verse? I’ll try to keep this one short and sweet with only two of my favorites: “Children are indeed a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward.”  Psalm 127:3;  “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not stray.”  Proverbs 22:6

What is your favorite book or movie?  “The Blind Side” and “Remember the Titans” are two of my favorite movies. I definitely love seeing the underdog pull off the remarkable. As for my favorite book…sit me in a quiet room with any book and a warm blanky and I’m set!

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?  Whether I’m at a sporting event (which is most of the time), skiing or riding the trails on our ATV’s, outdoors is the place for me. I really enjoy the fresh air and being with the ones I love. But my favorite thing to do in my free time is just to be Mom.

Do you have a favorite vacation spot? We have two favorite vacation spots…the Caribbean and Sedona, Arizona. Someday, we will retire to one of these magnificent places.

What type of music do you like?  I’m really a lover of all music with either beautiful lyrics or a wonderful beat. If I can melt into the sound or dance to the beat, I’m in.

What is your favorite thing about St. Joseph First UMC?  My favorite thing is the people. Our church is a wonderfully warm family.

Tell us about your family.  My handsome other half, Jason, and I met 20 years ago and are the proud parents of our son, Brock. We spend most of our time following his many sporting events (baseball, football, wrestling, and basketball). One of our many family hobbies is redoing houses.

Share one random fact about yourself.  I spent my childhood in rural Indiana running around in ….you guessed it….the middle of a corn field.
