What do you love about your role as Director of Youth Ministries at St. Joseph First UMC?  I love working with teenagers, sharing God’s word with them and going on retreats.

What is your favorite Bible verse?  "Jesus replied:  'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’  This is the first and greatest commandment."  And the second is like it:  "‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’  All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."  Matthew 22:37-40

What is your favorite book or movie?  I like action movies in general.  Lord of the Rings is my all time favorite.   As for books, I like "Chronicles of Narnia" and "The Purpose Driven Life".

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? I love playing sports, video games and guitar.  I also enjoy coaching my kids’ soccer games.

Do you have a favorite vacation spot? I really enjoy camping at Pentwater Church Camp.

What type of music do you like? I like Classic Rock, Christian Rock, and Praise and Worship music.  Chris Tomlin, Micahel W. Smith, Reliant K, and Newsboys are some of my favorite singers and groups.

Do you have any hobbies?  I like woodworking and trying to fix broken things.

What is your favorite thing about St. Joseph First UMC?  There are so many things I like!  The people are so friendly.  The Sunday message makes the Word of God real and relevant and there are so many wonderful ministries for people of all ages to learn about God and to connect with other believers.

Tell us about your family.  I am married to my beautiful wife, Kris.  She and I have 4 children.  They are all involved in many activities including: soccer, gymnastics, softball, scouts, Adventure Club, youth group, and Children’s Choir.  They keep us on our toes…hopping every minute of the day!

Share one random fact about yourself.  I have 5 sisters, no brothers.  I think that speaks for itself!
