What do you love about your role as Parish Nurse at St. Joseph First UMC? The interaction with the church family.
What is your favorite Bible verse? "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things." Philippians 4:8

What is your favorite book or movie? There are so many…hmmm, “Love is Eternal”, by Irving Stone and “Olive Kitteridge” by Elizabeth Strout. My favorite movies are Gone with the Wind and Dr. Zhivago.
What do you enjoy doing in your free time? I love gardening, mostly flowers. However, I do plant a few veggies.
Do you have a favorite vacation spot? Holden Beach, NC. We go every summer for one week and meet up with extended family. I love it! I also enjoy traveling to the Caribbean.
What type of music do you like? I love absolutely every type of music, but especially the kind of music my children play! Our sons play or have played: jazz, classical, rock, folk, maybe even a little hip hop from time to time. Our oldest son has played professionally and our middle son works in the music business doing a variety of things including playing in two bands at the present. Both Glenn and Phil played in church when they lived here.
What is your favorite thing about St. Joseph First UMC? The people, the people, the people!
Tell us about your family. I am married to my college sweetheart. We met on a blind date! We have 3 boys who couldn’t be more different from each other, a writer, a musician and an engineer. We are also blessed with a precious granddaughter.
Share one random fact about yourself. During my high school years, I was a Klompen Dancer for the Tulip Festival in Holland, MI.
