Local Missions

"...I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did to me." The familiar words of Jesus in Matthew 25:40 ask us to serve others in His name. There are many opportunities within St. Joe First UMC to serve others by giving our time, talents and financial resources.

UMC Mission Statement - Make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

SJ First UMC Vision for Missions - Love God by building relationships that bridge community needs with our passion to serve the Lord.

Our Vision will be realized when each person in the SJ First UMC family joins in these components of missions:

  • Learn (Mission Education) - Discuss our Mission activities in a manner that excites, and potentially involves, other people.

  • Act (Mission Experiences) - Feel compelled to, and welcomed to, participate directly in Mission Experiences. This involves interacting with, and developing relationships with, recipients of the Mission Experiences.

  • Give (Mission Support) - Supply resources (prayer, encouragement, materials, money, etc.) as needed for our Mission activities.

Thank you for everything you done.  You carried me when I couldn’t carry myself.
