Our facilities and grounds, made possible by the sacrificial gifts of members for many years, provide a beautiful and spiritual setting for weddings.
This is one of the most important times in your life, and we are pleased that you are considering St. Joe First UMC for your ceremony. A church wedding is a service of worship celebrating the most sacred human covenant between two people and God. During your wedding the blessing of God will be invoked on your love, your marriage, and your home. The sanction of the Christian church will be affirmed with reverence and faith.
As a couple, you should contact the pastor 3-4 months in advance. Pre-marital counseling is required. The pastor wants to know you and help you prepare for this important day in your lives. All discussions between you and the pastor will be kept confidential.
Sanctuary usage fee* $300 (Waived if bride, groom, or parents of bride or groom are members of St. Joe First UMC)

Wedding Coordinator $125
Sound Tech $50 (if needed)
A $100 deposit received at the time of reservation secures your date on the church calendar. This non-refundable deposit will be applied toward the total amount due. The balance should be received 30 days prior to the wedding date.
The church has a pair of brass candelabras and a brass unity candle that may be used for a small fee.
Please have the photographer confer with the pastor regarding flash photography in the sanctuary.
Smoking, alcohol and drugs are not permitted on church property.
Rice, confetti and birdseed are not to be thrown. We recommend bubbles.
